Ah, the old cliche of "if I had a pound for every time someone said that...". I beg to differ: I believe that now, MCR are not emo. However, I do believe they rode the emo bandwagon, gained their popularity and fame off the back of the emo movement, then disowned and abandoned it once they were famous enough to be classed as pop-rock.

I think the title "I'm Not Okay" speaks volumes about how emo this band are / were.
